Tim Swain, Producer
Tim has overseen key profit centers of some of the most successful independent film companies in the last 30 years - including New World Pictures and Trimark Entertainment (currently Lions Gate Entertainment). He is an innovative distributor, marketer and producer. In his extensive experience in the distribution, sales, marketing, and production of theatrical, DVD, PPV,VOD and television films in the worldwide marketplace, Tim has served in a variety of positions including Executive Vice President of Domestic Distribution of Trimark Entertainment. He was also one of the initial partners of MovieWeb.com.
In addition to currently representing clients in all areas of the worldwide marketplace, Tim has produced and executive produced 13 Feature Films, including "Dahmer", which was nominated for 3 IFP Spirit Awards, and the award-winning and critically acclaimed documentaries "Screamers" - featuring System of a Down - and "Class C" - featuring NBA legend Phil Jackson. Tim has produced films featuring the talented Jeremy Renner (2 Academy Award nominations) Beau Bridges (11 Emmys and 4 Golden Globes nominations), Bruce Davidson (1 Academy Award nomination) and worldwide singing sensation Whitney Houston.
Also, Tim recently co-founded Russian Film Releasing which releases theatrically successful Russian language films in the US. Tim currently oversees Domestic Distribution for Aldamisa Entertainment which just finished production on the Billy Bob Thornton directed "JAYNE MANSFIELDS CAR", D.J. Caruso's "GOAT ISLAND", Renny Harlin's "DYATLOV PASS" and is in Production on Robert Rodriguez"s "MACHETE KILLS" and is Pre-Production on Robert Rodriguez's "SIN CITY 2".

Sherwood Jones;  Writer/Producer


Sherwood started making films at age 11, armed with a Super 8 movie camera. In his preteens, he dove into an intense study of film, which lead to a B.A. in Cinema & Photography from Southern Illinois University and a Master of Fine Arts in Film from Ohio University, where his thesis film won an award in the Student Academy Awards competition. He entered the film industry as an editor, and has served in that capacity on 20 feature films. He has also been Post Production Supervisor on 25 features. He continues to write and direct his own personal film projects.


Catherine Clinch, Writer/Producer
Catherine is a writer/producer with 29 years of experience in the entertainment industry. In the early years of her career, Catherine wrote 17 episodes of network television for hit series including Hunter, Jake & The Fatman, KnightRider, Hart to Hart, The Love Boat, True Confessions and Foul Play. She wrote and developed movies made for television with Gross-Weston Productions and ABC TV. She was Board of Directors of the Writers Guild of America, west.
She is associate publisher of Creative Screenwriting Magazine and associate coordinator of the Screenwriting Expo. Catherine also is an Adjunct Professor at Loyola Marymount University and California State University Dominguez Hills. She had wrote, produced and presented more than 225 hours of LIVE educational television that was broadcast throughout the greater Los Angeles area on the University-affiliated channel. She authored a primer for PBS Learning Satellite Service to explain the distance learning process from the course-creator's point of view. In 2000, she was nominated for the Los Angeles Business Journal's "Women Who Make A Difference" Award.

 John D. McMahon, Director/Producer
John is a director and producer, graduated from USC as a major in commercial art and journalism and returned to USC to begin his career of filmmaking by editing videos for the television broadcast facility in the School of Engineering. From there his talents were then recognized and moved up to work for The Seigerson Foundation, then for Flamingo Films, then joining the R.V. Davies Company. Soon after, he met with fellow USC alum and started work for the Taco Bell Corporation, then left for Orange County and was offered a job as Marketing Director/Producer at Thumbs up Productions. Continuing from there, he progressed to making educational videos for children, a series of radio and TV commercial campaigns, producing Public Service Announcements, documentaries, and corporate marketing-communication programs. Even now, he continues to keep close relations with vital connections in the entertainment industry.

Dimitris Savva, Director/Producer
Born in Limassol, Cyprus, Dimitris developed his passion for motion-pictures initially as a theater actor in the age of 6 which therefore evolved into a need to explore the-behind-the-camera side of the art of motion-pictures . After working at the Cyprus Broadcast Channel (RIK) and MS ViewPoint ,one of the leading commercial companies in Cyprus, he moved to California to pursue his film-making passion by attending Chapman University's prestigious Dodge College of Film and Media obtaining a degree in Film Production with an emphasis in Creative Producing. Working for Disney and Fox Studios Dimitris has gained adequate experience and knowledge to critically comprehend and distinguish good story-telling and therefore develop it to a motion-picture spectacle.

 

Karl Weiss, Film studio exactive


Karl is the leader of film group representing over 200 San Diego film professionals, also a screenwriter, and studio owner. He has his own production team that can make the film from start to finish.

 

 

 

Bernard Clinch; Producer/Director
Bernard is a media production specialist with 16 years of experience in production: writing, producing, shooting and editing.
Two of his series won Telly Awards, an Aegis Award and an Omni Intermedia Award. He produced, directed and edited over 330 one-hour network quality broadcast episodes aired over JEC Knowledge TV which reached into more than 40 million homes. In 2000, Bernard was named one of the Top 100 Media Producers in the United States by AV Video Multimedia Producer Magazine.
In 2001, Bernard took creative and technical control of one of the first electronic LED billboard signs in Los Angeles.  In 2006, Bernard served as Associate Producer and Editor for Victims Of Another War: The Aftermath of Parental Alienation. This documentary received a Telly Award and The Bronze Plaque at the Columbus International Film Festival. It is being used by the Federal Appellate Court system to educate new judges and attorneys about the after effects of parental abduction and alienation. It made the first cut for Oscar Award consideration for Short Subject Documentary.


Ron Shaw, director
Ron is an international Designer and Creative Director, has been a beneficiary of numerous design awards nationwide and globally. He has instructed design not only in other countries such as the Netherlands and Great Britain, but also in many universities and specialized organizations in Southern California. After serving as President at both the Art Directors Club of Los Angeles and the Studio Management Association, Los Angeles, he established his own international design, marketing and production firm. They have worked for many big companies such as Citicorp NY, Government of India (New Dalhi), Summa Corporation/Howard Hughes Development Corporation, and the United Technologies Corporation. Ron and his group have served clients not only in the United States, but also in Mexico, France, Japan, India, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and the United Kingdom.

Zeljhko Zic; MD
Dr..Zic Born was born at Croatia, Graduated from Medical School in Zagreb Croatia, then came to USA for his Medical Doctor study. He has been practice of Internal Medicine and Endocrinollogy from 1974. Married too Sophia a Medical Nutritionist originally from  Taiwan. He is a film lover and international film fan and attending regulary Film Festivals in Berlin Berlinale
also was frequently Attendiing Telluride Film Fest, Toronto TIFF, AFI Asian Pacific Film Festivcal and LA Film Festl. Dr. Zic speaks many lanaguage fluently and is familiar with 8 of them like Chinese, japanese, Korean, Spanicsh, Portugese, itc, Motto, Carpe Diem. Enjoy studying the I Ching Philosophy.


Youth Jury

 

Perry Chen
At 10, Perry Chen is the youngest award-winning entertainment critic, TV personality, Annie Awards presenter, artist, filmmaker/animator, and radio host, reviewing movies with his trademark kids-friendly starfish from a child's perspective. Perry became a national sensation on CBS Evening News with Katie Couric and National Public Radio (NPR) with Liane Hansen, and a frequent star on the red carpet at film festivals and premiers.
Perry is an authoritative spokesperson for his generation about movies with his insight and humor. "Beyond the Forest," a film about a Jewish girl's survival during the Holocaust, animated by Perry, in partnership with Oscar-nominee Bill Plympton, just released at 2012.

Thandizar Easley
Born in the city of Long Beach, Thandizar was born and raised in a music lover's family. His father, Earl performed in a band called IIIrd Degree. As a talented musician, Thandi play well piano, bass and guitar, earned the privilege of performing at the Pre-Image Awards as well as Post-Image Awards two years in a row. He's also performed with the famous jazz singer Barbora Morrison, a modern jazz pioneer John Daversa. Besides his instrumental abilities, Thandi has also been developing his voice, singing at different events, and producing his own music.
Thandi also puts great emphasis on education. Earning a cumulative GPA of 4.7. In 2010, he represents his school to speak to 125 teachers from China. In 2011, he participated in UCLA's Chinese Proficiency Contest. In Feb. 2012, he organized a play he wrote, dancing, character writing, singing, tai chi, and a shadow puppet show.

Holly McGinnis

Holley was adopted from Guangdong Province, China. She is 10 years old, home schooled and going into the 5th grade. She and her family moved to San Diego two years ago. She enjoys soccer, bike riding, reading, and sitting out on her porch. She has two brothers Geoffrey (age 13) and Kael (age 19). She was the youth film jury for the 8th Annual San Diego International Children's film festival.

 

Erwang Li

Erwang is a 15 years old middle school student from Beijing, China. He is happy, passionate boy. He is growing up with two generations of film makers family, was the youth film jury for 2010 Beijing Youth Film Festival.

 

 

 

Amberlyn Rhoades


Amberlyn is 11-years-old, she is graduating from 5th grade at Mason Elementary School this month. She was adopted as a baby in Anhui Province of China. She has a brother, Devin (age 8) and a sister, Waverly (age 16). Amberlyn loves to read, enjoys music (her favorite singer is Taylor Swift) and hanging out with her friends, both in person and on the internet. She has taken a particular interest in Greek Mythology and talks about being a teacher when she grows up. Amberlyn is looking forward to attending Challenger Middle School in the fall.

Steven Liu
Steven is 12 years old, born in Mexico and going to school in USA. He is a Mexico citizen with US residents. He speacks Chinese, Spanish and English. His parents are came from the People's Republic of China.
