Maeya is producing the Universe Multicultural Film Festival
March 1, 2013; Maeya Culture Exchange Group will be one of the producers for the 2013 Universe Multicultural Film Festival (UMFF). UMFF is an exciting and educational experience that opens the eyes and minds of its audience through the power of film. This special event comes to Palos Verdes on April 12-14, hosted in the Promenade on the Peninsula, the RHCC Community Center, the Peninsula Center Library and Rolling Hills Estate. UMFF will showing films from around the world with a variety of content within the categories of Student, Short and Feature. There are films from 20+ countries and expecting 5,000+ in attendance in UMFF, where international film stars delegation share the screen with young and soon-to-be-known talents. There will be a number of cultural events, filmmaker tributes, industry seminars and gala receptions. A delegation of Chinese film makers, actors, producers and studio heads will attend the UMFF to support their productions. All films will be premiered to American audiences followed by Q&A sessions with the artistic team accompany each film. On Friday, the "Film Pitch and Catch" one to one meetings for projects will be occurred with pre-arrangement. There is a willingness to share film resources between China and the world, providing a way for filmmakers to meet future partners and share their deal making tips and insights.
